Maynard Nexsen is excited to announce Shareholder Katy Eldridge was selected by the Birmingham Business Journal as one of Birmingham’s “Top 40 Under 40” for 2017. This award, which recognizes talented up-and-comers on the Birmingham business scene, is one of the most coveted distinctions for young professionals in Birmingham.
Katy is a member of the Securities Litigation practice and in her 13 years with the firm, she has tried approximately 30 cases through final decision. Moreover, she has served as first chair in at least 10 matters handled through final decision. Katy also has experience representing brokerage firms in employment matters before FINRA, as well as in state and federal court. In addition, she has handled matters before state and federal courts throughout the country on behalf of broker-dealers, investment advisors, banks, insurance companies, and mortgage companies.
Outside the courtroom, Katy serves the Birmingham community through various civic and charitable organizations. She currently serves as the Junior League of Birmingham's President-Elect and remains involved in groups supporting the Alabama Symphony Orchestra, The Birmingham Botanical Gardens and Birmingham Reads. Katy is also a member of the National Association of Women Lawyers and contributes pro bono service through BULP.
