Overview
Abby is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Employee Benefits & Executive Compensation practice group.
Abby is experienced in advising public and private companies on various aspects of corporate and tax law, including mergers & acquisitions, private equity & venture capital, antitrust & trade regulation, and healthcare, franchise, and name, image & likeness (NIL) matters.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Abby’s practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, tax planning and compliance, commercial development projects, alcohol permitting and licensing, and general corporate law matters at a large regional firm. She was also a Judicial Extern for the Honorable Karon O. Bowdre in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Alabama.
Abby holds a J.D. from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University, where she served as vice president of the Student Bar Association. Abby received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award in Bioethics and the Law and was a Judge Abraham Caruthers Fellow.
She earned a B.A. in Communication Studies from Huntingdon College, magna cum laude, where she was a Huntingdon Ambassador and the recipient of The Most Outstanding Communication Studies Senior award. Abby was also an active member of Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity, where she served as chapter president.
