Overview

Anne Miles is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Insurance and Appellate Litigation practice groups.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Anne Miles supported litigation and health care clients at a national, full-service firm. She has experience assisting clients with a variety of regulatory, operational and litigation matters. She regularly represented providers in payment disputes with Medicare and Medicaid managed care organizations through contractual dispute resolution processes, administrative appeals, arbitration and in state and federal courts. As part of that practice, she argued cases before various judicial and administrative bodies, including the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, Provider Reimbursement Review Board, and Office of Medicare Hearings and Appeals. Anne Miles also uses her unique legal experience to maintain an active pro bono practice.

Anne Miles holds a J.D., summa cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law. During law school, she served as Junior Editor for the Alabama Law Review and was inducted into the Order of the Barristers, Order of the Coif and Bench & Bar Legal Honor Society. She was a member of the school’s national championship-winning New York City Bar National Moot Court Competition team and was overall Best Advocate at the competition. After law school, Anne Miles clerked for the Hon. Andrew L. Brasher of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
