Overview
Dan is Of Counsel in Maynard Nexsen’s Intellectual Property practice group.
Dan provides clients with timely, practical and strategic intellectual property work products and advice, including patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, licensing, acquisition, litigation, joint development, research, agreements and sales work.
He aligns intellectual property strategy with company goals and vision, optimizing client return on investment and supporting global portfolio management, cost control, litigation and outside counsel management, as well as preparation and prosecution of patent and trademark applications.
Dan has successfully completed patent applications related to a variety of technologies, including electrical, mechanical, refractory, biotech and chemical arts, with an emphasis on energy storage, electric vehicle battery systems, fluid transfer, filtration, medical treatment, porous polymer, photography, optical fibers, waveguides, optical systems, cameras, coating processes, digital control systems, reclamation, recycling and renewable and bio-based materials.
Dan previously worked as a Patent Examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, he also served as Intellectual Property Counsel for technology, manufacturing and energy companies.
Dan holds a J.D., cum laude, from the National Law Center at George Washington University. He earned his B.S.E, cum laude, in Bioengineering, with a specialization in Chemical Engineering, from Arizona State University.
