Overview
David Spratley serves as Director of Economic Development for the firm. An experienced financial and economic development executive, David joins the Firm’s team from the North Carolina Department of Commerce, where he served as Senior Assistant Secretary of Finance for three years. He guided several economic development functions at the Department, including the Rural Economic Development Division and the Commerce Finance Center, the business unit that manages the state’s economic development incentive programs.
Earlier in his career, David served in the site selection practice at KPMG, bringing an extensive background in corporate finance and economic development management to his role. He provided clients with guidance in the site selection process, business incentives, and general economic development best practices. Previously, he served as Vice President of Business Recruitment at the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina, the public-private organization that works under contract with the state to handle the marketing functions of economic development.
David is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
