Overview

David is a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen's Real Estate and Financial Services practice groups. He focuses his practice on the representation of buyers, sellers, developers, landlords and tenants in commercial real estate transactions involving the acquisition, development, leasing and financing of real property. David also represents lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured financing transactions.

Additionally, David’s real estate practice includes significant timberland transaction representation involving acquisitions, dispositions and financings of large tract timber properties throughout the United States and the representation of TIMOs, private and commercial land owners, harvesters and others. David regularly works with and represents one of the premier TIMOs in the United States in connection with his timberland practice.

David’s practice has a particular focus on negotiating leases on behalf of both landlords and tenants across all asset classes.

David received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was the Articles Editor for the Alabama Law Review, member and competition semifinalist for the Campbell Moot Court Board, member of the Jessup International Moot Court Team, Hugo L. Black Scholar and recipient of the Dean M. Leigh Harrison Award. He earned his B.S. in Business Administration, summa cum laude, from Auburn University.
