Dayne Cutrell

Dayne is a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen’s Government and Regulatory Affairs Practice where he serves as the Director of Federal Affairs.

Dayne has more than a decade of experience working in Washington, D.C., most recently serving as Senator Richard Shelby’s Chief of Staff. In this role and others, Dayne frequently engaged with industry executives, community leaders, government officials, and constituents. He has maintained strong working relationships within the legislative and executive branches of the federal government.

A skilled lawyer and legislative strategist, Dayne works closely with businesses and their leaders to help navigate the ever-changing maze of federal bureaucracy, advance their goals, and produce successful outcomes. He provides legal counsel and strategic guidance on matters involving regulatory affairs, policy, compliance, communications, economic development, and other issues impacting a company’s growth and future plans.

Dayne has broad knowledge in the areas of economic development and incentives, finance, and tax, as well as a variety of industry knowledge. He has also managed billions of dollars in federal appropriations and federal projects.
