Overview

Hunter is a Registered Patent Attorney and an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Intellectual Property and Private Markets practice groups. She also supports the Firm's Cybersecurity and Privacy, Corporate Governance, and Mergers & Acquisitions groups.

Hunter previously served as an Intellectual Property Clerk at a boutique IP firm, where she prepared legal memoranda for attorneys and clients regarding legal strategy and portfolio management, drafted motions and briefs in support of trademark and copyright litigation matters, and performed research and legal analysis for patent, trademark and copyright case matters.

During law school, Hunter worked as a Summer Associate at Maynard Nexsen and a boutique litigation firm. In these roles, she gained experience performing research and preparing legal memoranda, drafting and analyzing patent claims and amendments in chemical and mechanical fields, and performing intellectual property due diligence on M&A matters.

Hunter holds a J.D., cum laude, from the University of South Carolina School of Law, where she served as a Technology Editor for the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Journal and earned CALI Awards for Intellectual Property and Legal Research, Analysis & Writing III. She holds a B.S. in Chemistry from Louisiana State University, where she was Captain of the school’s NCAA Division I Beach Volleyball team.
