Overview

Jada Wilson is an associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Government Investigations & White Collar Defense practice group. She assists individuals and business entities in various criminal and civil matters including government investigations, state and federal criminal charges, and a variety of commercial litigation. Prior to joining the Firm full-time, she worked as a Summer Associate in 2020 and 2021, where she received the former Diversity scholarship.

Prior to joining the Firm, Jada worked as a law clerk for a solo practitioner in Columbia, SC, where she gained valuable experience with assisting clients facing a variety of state and federal criminal matters. Jada has experience in multi-defendant federal conspiracy cases and state grand jury indictments. She has assisted clients with various aspects of the criminal process, including investigations, pre-trial intervention and pre-trial diversion programs, plea bargaining, subpoena responses, court appearances, and sentencing.

Utilizing her civil experience, Jada has assisted with responding to a multi-defendant state class-action suit and also negotiated settlement for a complex commercial business dispute. She utilizes her extensive business consulting experience and skills to assist individuals and entities with a wide range of business issues. Her experience with complex discovery issues, trial preparation, and settlement negotiations has allowed Jada to assist diverse clients in local and international matters.

Jada is a graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. She received a B.S. in Health Sciences and a Master of Science in Community Engaged Medicine from Furman University. In law school, she served as the Vice President and Public Relations Chair of the Matthew J. Perry Jr. Chapter of the Black Law Students Association. She also served as a Board member for the Pro Bono program.
