Overview
John is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Insurance practice group. An experienced litigator in both state and federal court, John has worked on numerous high-exposure cases and consistently achieved positive results for his clients. John has experience representing both public and private clients in a wide variety of litigation matters and experience in all aspects of litigation, including discovery, trials, and appeals.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, John was an associate with an AM Law 100 firm based in Los Angeles and a Fellow of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). During the ABOTA Fellowship, John clerked for the Honorable Victor E. Chavez of the California Superior Court for the County of Los Angeles.
John holds a J.D. from Southwestern Law School. While in law school, John was the Competitions Chair of the Trial Advocacy Honors Program at Southwestern Law School, a member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, and clerked for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office Hardcore Gang Division. He earned his B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from the University of Oregon.
