Overview
La Keisha is Of Counsel in Maynard Nexsen’s Huntsville office. She focuses her practice on general and complex litigation. She has extensive experience representing clients in civil rights litigation and government relations.
Prior to joining Maynard, La Keisha served as the Executive Director of the Fire and Police Commission for the City of Milwaukee, one of the nation’s oldest law enforcement oversight agencies, where she guided all policies and practices of the city’s police and fire departments. She also served as the Legislative Liaison Director and Assistant City Attorney for the City of Milwaukee. Prior to working for the City of Milwaukee, La Keisha was an attorney at the Wisconsin Department of Revenue and practiced law at a firm in Louisville, KY.
La Keisha earned her B.A. from the University of Maryland Baltimore County. She obtained her J.D. from Vanderbilt University and has an LLM in taxation from New York University School of Law.
