Malak is an Associate in Maynard Nexsen’s Labor & Employment practice group.

Malak’s practice focuses on representing employers in a variety of litigation and counseling matters, including employment litigation prevention and defense, wage and hour compliance & litigation and whistleblower and retaliation claims. She is a trusted advocate for employers facing complex legal challenges.

Malak has experience handling a range of legal matters, including single-plaintiff and class action litigation, as well as representative actions under the California Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). She has represented clients in allegations of pay equity, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour violations and other employment torts. Malak has a comprehensive understanding of state and federal regulations and is committed to helping clients stay on top of changes in labor and employment laws, particularly in California’s rapidly evolving legal landscape.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Malak practiced at a specialized labor & employment law firm.

Malak holds a J.D. from Southwestern Law School, where she was a Dean’s Merit Scholar. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Government, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Outside Maynard Nexsen

Malak grew up in Marrakech, Morocco and moved to the U.S. for college. In her free time, she enjoys reading psychological thrillers, taking long walks and trying new restaurants.
