Overview

Rima is a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen’s Financial Services practice group. She delivers the strategic advice, aggressive legal defense and diplomacy and good judgment needed when her clients are faced an employment-related claim, complaint or charge.

Rima represents employers in all types of disputes including discrimination, harassment and retaliation claims under Title VII, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Age Discrimination in Employment Act (ADEA), Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) and wage and hour disputes under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Rima handles litigation matters in both state and federal courts, administrative agencies and arbitration forums, including the EEOC and FINRA.

In addition to her litigation practice, she supports clients with day-to-day employment matters, conducts investigations, drafts employee handbooks, reviews employee classification systems and provides on-site training sessions.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Rima practiced labor & employment law at multiple full-service firms. Rima also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frank M. Johnson, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
