Overview

Spencer is an Associate in the Firm’s Public Company Advisory group, where he assists publicly traded and reporting companies with concerns involving corporate governance and securities issues. He is also a member of the Corporate & Business Transactions practice, which assists clients ranging in size from emerging businesses to large corporations in all aspects of their legal responsibilities, strategic initiatives, and operations.

Prior to attending law school, he worked as an analyst for a national automobile creditor and a nonprofit health insurance company.

Spencer graduated magna cum laude from the University of Alabama School of Law, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif, an editor on the Alabama Law Review, and a member of the Moot Court Board. He was also a competition winner of the 2L Moot Court Competition; Best Oralist of the 2024 Cristol, Kahn, Paskay Circuit Bankruptcy Competition; a recipient of the M. Leigh Harrison Award; and a Hugo L. Black Scholar. He earned his B.A. in Economics from the University of Virginia.
