Overview
Thy is a Partner in Maynard Nexsen’s Employment & Labor practice group. Her practice focuses on preventing and defending employment litigation, wage and hour disputes and whistleblower, sexual harassment and retaliation complaints.
Thy represents employers in single-plaintiff and multi-plaintiff lawsuits in state and federal court. She defends clients in litigation alleging discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wage and hour violations and other statutory and common-law claims. Thy is skilled in courtroom advocacy, fact gathering, discovery, law and motion practice and legal research, resolving matters quickly and efficiently.
Thy has experience working with public and private sector clients across a broad range of industries, including retail, health care, higher education and real estate. She performs workplace investigations and provides day-to-day counseling advice to employers.
Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Thy was a Partner at a national, specialized labor and employment firm.
Thy holds a J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and an LL.M. with merit honors in International Business Law from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She earned her B.A. in Political Science and Spanish, magna cum laude, from the University of California, Riverside.

When not at work, Thy enjoys sailing, yoga and indoor cycling. She loves animals and has a dog named Sir Rupert Woofington.
