Meet Alice Harris and Darra Coleman
Nexsen Pruet is excited to introduce you via video to two new members of our health care team, Darra Coleman and Alice Harris. Darra and Alice add valuable experience to our practice, and their timing has been perfect for helping clients to navigate the COVID-19 crisis. Together, Darra and Alice bring more their more than 45 years of combined health care law knowledge, relationships and experience to the firm.
Darra has spent 20+ years working with clients in both the public and private sectors, most recently as Chief Advice Counsel and policy counsel for the S.C. Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation. Joining the firm during the COVID-19 pandemic, Darra has already been offering her telehealth, regulatory compliance and licensure knowledge to assist clients in facing the myriad of changes that are occurring in state and federal policies and regulations.
Alice has spent the past 25 years assisting hospitals, health care systems, physicians and post-acute care providers on a wide variety of matters, especially in the arena of long-term care. Alice has focused on regulatory compliance, compliance program guidelines, response to federal and state audits, as well as surveys and investigations. This experience allows her to guide clients through challenges (and opportunities) brought on by the COVID-19 situation and assist them in working through the fine details of the CARES Act Provider Relief Fund, including anticipated audit issues.
