Vincent J. Schilleci, III joins Maynard in Birmingham as a Shareholder in the Estate, Trust, and Business Planning practice. He focuses his practice in the areas of business planning, succession planning, estate planning, taxation, real estate, and probate administration. With first-hand business ownership experience and having served as Vice President and General Counsel for a family-owned, multi-national operating company, Schilleci has ample experience advising clients with a broad range of sophisticated estate planning and business law matters. His industry acumen spans healthcare, manufacturing, entertainment, retail, wholesale, and beverage distribution, among others. Schilleci is an adjunct professor at Birmingham School of Law and teaches Estate Planning and Estate Administration classes throughout Alabama. Additionally, he serves as a Reporter for the Alabama Law Institute Standing Committee on Trusts. Schilleci earned his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law and his LL.M in Taxation from New York University School of Law. He holds a B.S. in Management from the University of Alabama.
Andrew T. Dixon joins the Firm’s newest office location in Orlando as Of Counsel. His practice primarily concentrates on commercial and real estate litigation, contracts, and banking. Prior to his arrival at Maynard, Dixon worked with a Fortune 500 company as in-house counsel, managing and resolving litigation matters across the country. Additionally, he spent nine years in private practice with a Central Florida law firm, where he aided clients with a large span of commercial litigation and contract matters. Dixon received his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College Of Law and his B.S. in history from the University of Central Florida.
Eric Nanfito joins Maynard in Birmingham as Of Counsel in the Corporate Securities & Tax Practice Group. His experience is focused on commercial contracting with extensive involvement in contract management and administration. Nanfito advises business clients through all stages of the contract process. With transactions at the cornerstone of his practice, Nanfito frequently supports the Firm’s M&A deal teams, assisting with due diligence, drafting, negotiation, and regulatory compliance processes. He advises on banking and finance-related regulatory issues, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley compliance. Before joining Maynard, Nanfito was in private practice for ten years in Omaha, Nebraska. He earned his J.D. with a concentration in corporate and commercial law from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law in New York City, and he holds a B.A. in international studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.
Riley Murphy returns to Maynard’s Real Estate and Financial Services practice in Birmingham. He represents buyers, sellers, developers, landlords, and tenants in all types of real estate matters, including but not limited to acquisition, development, and leasing transactions in markets spanning throughout the United States. Murphy earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Cumberland School of Law, where he served as Managing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He also holds a B.S.B.A. in Accounting from Auburn University, where he graduated cum laude.
Andrew Toler joins the Firm’s growing Correctional Litigation practice in Huntsville as an Associate. Toler focuses his practice on representing various correctional agencies and vendors in litigation matters across the country. Previously, his practice was focused on representing Alabama municipalities, businesses, and individuals in cases involving civil rights, breach of contract, personal injury, property damage, and employment law, including employment discrimination. He also served as a law clerk for Judge Karon O. Bowdre of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Alabama. Toler received his J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, during which time he served as a Law Clerk in the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Alabama. He holds a B.A. in History from Mississippi State University.
