Maynard Nexsen Bolsters Intellectual Property Practice
Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 24 offices across the United States, is pleased to announce Michael “Mike” Henson has joined the Firm’s Intellectual Property practice group as Shareholder. Mike’s practice focuses on patent prosecution, patent litigation and strategic patent portfolio management and analysis.
Mike is a registered patent attorney with a technical background in electrical engineering. Mike is skilled in handling intellectual property procurement, transactional and enforcement matters both domestically and internationally. He assists clients with infringement, freedom-to-operate and validity opinions, patent prosecution, trademark and related licensing matters. Mike is also experienced in virtually all phases of patent, trademark and other types of intellectual property law, including appeals before the Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Mike practiced Intellectual Property law at international, national, and regional firms. He has been ranked in the AM Patent 1000: The World's Leading Patent Professionals since 2014. Before his legal career, he worked as a co-op engineer in the steel industry and for the Central Intelligence Agency with top-secret clearances. Mike is a graduate of Northwestern University and the University of Denver Sturm College of Law.
