Maynard Nexsen Grows Real Estate Practice
Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 24 offices across the United States, is pleased to announce the addition of Thomas Hockman as Shareholder in the Firm’s Greensboro office. A seasoned transactional attorney, his practice focuses primarily in commercial real estate.
Thomas has extensive experience in representing private equity companies and developers of multifamily and other commercial real estate in real estate finance matters, acquisitions and dispositions, joint venture formation, multistate portfolio transactions, distressed asset transactions and more. Thomas also represents developers and assists builders in drafting and negotiating construction agreements.
In addition to his real estate practice, Thomas assists in other transactional areas, including corporate acquisitions, asset-based financing and the negotiation of various organizational documents for limited liability companies, limited partnerships, joint ventures and other types of ownership entities.

Prior to joining Maynard Nexsen, Thomas practiced commercial real estate and financing law at a boutique business firm in Greensboro. Thomas holds a J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and a B.S.B.A. from Appalachian State University.
