Nexsen Pruet Grows in North Carolina with Addition of Three Attorneys
Nexsen Pruet is pleased to announce the addition of three new attorneys to the firm’s Raleigh and Charlotte offices. Rory Horde (Associate), Michelle Prendergast (Associate), and Anna Verderame (Special Counsel) joined the firm in November, bringing a wealth of experience to our practice teams.

Horde joins the Bankruptcy & Financial Services practice group as an Associate in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. Rory gained experience in various internships with Georgia’s Own Credit Union, Access Point Financial, LLC, and a boutique law firm. He earned his undergraduate degree, B.B.A. in Real Estate, cum laude, from the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business and his J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law.
Prendergast joins the Business & Commercial Litigation practice group as an Associate in the firm’s Raleigh, North Carolina office. Michelle previously worked in complex commercial litigation, personal injury and product liability matters. She also served as a law clerk to the Honorable Joe E. Peake, U.S. Magistrate Judge. Michelle received her undergraduate degree in History, magna cum laude, from the University of South Carolina - Aiken and her J.D. from William & Mary Law School.
Verderame joins the Intellectual Property practice group as a Special Counsel in the firm’s Charlotte, North Carolina office. Anna is a registered patent attorney with more than 15 years of experience working both in-house and at a private practice. Prior to joining Nexsen Pruet, she worked as a patent examiner at the USPTO and more recently was Associate General Counsel at Polypore International, LP. Anna received her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Rochester and her J.D. from George Washington University Law School.
