David Segrera joins Maynard in Miami as a Shareholder. His broad corporate experience comprises securities law, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and venture capital investments, with an emphasis on international business transactions. Segrera represents both publicly and privately held companies in connection with their strategic business initiatives, including mergers and acquisitions and various corporate governance matters. His experience includes representing private equity and venture capital funds with equity and debt financing transactions and representing emerging companies that are raising growth capital from investors. David earned his J.D. at Harvard Law School where he was a member of the Harvard Latino Law Review. While in law school, he attended one semester at the Universidad Pontificia Comillas in Madrid, Spain. He holds a B.A., cum laude, from Harvard College in international studies.
Ilya Mirov joins Maynard in Birmingham as an Associate. Ilya’s practice focuses on strategic patent prosecution and patent counseling. Ilya is a registered patent attorney with the United States Patent and Trademark Office. Ilya received a B.S. in Physics from the University of Richmond. He holds a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. Ilya received his J.D. from the University of Richmond School of Law. While in law school, he was a senior articles editor of the Journal of Law and Technology.
Xeris Gregory joins Maynard in Birmingham as an Associate. She works with the Firm’s team members to assist clients with privacy and cybersecurity compliance, policy development, regulatory investigations, and privacy and cybersecurity risk evaluations associated with M&A transactions. She also provides support with various cyber-related matters, from data breach planning, response, and recovery to evaluating cyber liability insurance coverage to best position claims for maximum insurance recovery. Xeris received her J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, where she was President of the Student Bar Association, a member of the Bench and Bar Legal Honor Society and Editor of The Journal of the Legal Profession. She holds a B.S. in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin.
