David is a Shareholder in Maynard Nexsen’s Corporate & Business Transactions practice group, where he provides strategic counsel to corporate clients across diverse industries. With a proven track record in managing complex commercial transactions, mitigating high-stakes business risks and developing robust compliance frameworks, David delivers pragmatic solutions that align with his clients’ strategic goals.

David's practice spans mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, contract negotiation and management, employment law, intellectual property matters and litigation strategy. He is adept at navigating multifaceted legal landscapes to support clients in achieving operational excellence and long-term growth.

Before joining Maynard Nexsen, David served as Vice President and General Counsel for a nationwide data and digital company, overseeing all aspects of contract management, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, and day-to-day legal operations. As a member of the executive leadership team, he played a pivotal role in formulating and implementing strategic initiatives that drove organizational success.

Earlier in his career, David practiced law in private practice, advising businesses on a wide range of corporate matters, including entity formation, governance, contract management, labor and employment issues and dispute resolution. His litigation experience includes representing clients in administrative proceedings, mediations, arbitrations and trials in both state and federal courts.

David earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Alabama School of Law and his Bachelor of Arts from Birmingham-Southern College.
