Maynard Nexsen Expands Insurance Practice in Texas

Maynard Nexsen, a full-service law firm with 24 offices across the United States, is pleased to announce the addition of two highly skilled attorneys to the firm’s Insurance practice group. Joining the firm’s Austin office, Carrie Rupprath and Amanda Harvey add decades of public and private sector experience in regulatory and compliance work.

Carrie Rupprath, Shareholder, counsels clients in the insurance industry on a wide range of federal and state regulatory compliance issues and has significant experience representing clients with respect to approvals, licensing and compliance matters before the Texas Department of Insurance. She also strategically advises clients in insurance company acquisitions, complex financial transactions and insurance investment issues. Carrie is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and the University of Texas School of Law.

Amanda Harvey joins the firm Of Counsel. Her practice focuses on advising insurance clients, primarily life and health insurers, on regulatory and compliance issues and representing clients before various Departments of Insurance in licensing and ongoing business. Amanda has extensive experience in the public and private legal sectors, with prior experience at the Texas Department of Insurance, as in-house counsel for a large non-profit health system and at a full-service national law firm. Amanda is a graduate of The Ohio State University, St. Edward’s University and the University of Texas School of Law.
